**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Advisor to lead innovative initiatives within Manatu Hauora. As a trusted business partner, you will provide high-quality guidance on hauora Maori, Tiriti, and equity solutions.

In this role, you will contribute to shaping key work programmes, support people leaders, and drive transformative solutions to improve health outcomes for Maori. You will have the opportunity to build partnerships, foster cultural growth, champion innovation, strengthen capability, and provide expert advice and thought leadership.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Build Partnerships: Collaborate with people leaders to offer specialized advice on hauora Maori, Tiriti, and equity solutions.
  • Drive Cultural Growth: Support and promote effective policies, programmes, and practices working across the Ministry.
  • Champion Innovation: Lead approaches and key work programmes aligned with Manatu Hauora's mission and priorities.
  • Strengthen Capability: Mentor and guide business partners and teams to build Hauora Maori, Tiriti o Waitangi, and equity knowledge and competencies.

**Requirements:**

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and experience creating and maintaining trusting and productive business partnering relationships.
  • A deep understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and equity and its application to government policy contexts.
  • Senior experience providing high-quality advice and support in business partnering relationships that deliver effective results.
