Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Acoustic Inspection Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will combine technical expertise with fieldwork to assess the condition of overhead power lines, substations, and electrical assets.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Perform acoustic inspections to assess overhead transmission and distribution networks, substations, and ground-mounted equipment using specialised ultrasonic technology.
  • Analyse data from acoustic surveys and electrical evaluations to identify asset risks and performance trends.
  • Deliver clear, detailed reports that align with customer maintenance and risk management standards.
  • Conduct additional assessments such as visual surveys, infrared thermal imaging, and online testing.
  • Collaborate with aerial inspection teams to integrate aerial-based inspections into acoustic survey programs.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have a degree or diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering, industry experience in the electricity distribution sector, and strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
