Role Overview
As a Senior Policy Analyst, you will contribute to the development of advice and reports to the Government, helping to drive positive climate action in Aotearoa. You will work closely with a team of experts to deliver projects that have a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and lead the end-to-end development of project initiation documents, scoping and analytical products as part of the CCRA work programme.
* Collaborate with other teams across the organisation to input into statutory deliverables, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
* Utilise your sharp mind, analytical and organisational skills to frame and communicate advice that recognises the needs and concerns of various audiences.
* Contribute to the strategic direction of the Commission through considered input, driving forward-thinking solutions and initiatives.
* Lead and contribute to multiple pieces of work concurrently, prioritising tasks effectively and managing competing deadlines.
* Provide expert analysis and support to the Board, informing their decision-making processes and ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills
* Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience in policy analysis or a related field.
* Extensive mitigation and adaptation experience, with a strong understanding of climate change policies and initiatives.
* Analytical and critical reasoning skills, with the ability to develop and implement workable solutions to complex problems.
* Experience leading people and projects, with a proven track record of success in delivering results-oriented outcomes.
* Strong quantitative and qualitative skills, with expertise in data analysis and interpretation.
* An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi/the Treaty of Waitangi, Treaty principles, te ao Māori (including tikanga and kawa), and experience engaging with iwi and Māori communities.
