We are looking for a Community Service Coordinator to join our team at Auckland Council's Great Barrier Island Service Centre. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated administrative professional to contribute to the delivery of operational excellence to the Aotea / Great Barrier Island community.


In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating the delivery of services across Great Barrier Island, including building control, library services, waste solutions, cemetery services, and community facilities.
  • Ensuring a smooth and responsive service by actively participating in the management of community facilities.
  • Adapting to the unique needs of the island community and handling diverse and shifting service demands.
  • Demonstrating excellent customer service skills and building strong relationships with customers on the ground.
  • Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in similar support or customer-facing roles, with a sound understanding of operational delivery in a varied and sometimes high-demand environment. You should be an energetic and enthusiastic team player who thrives on hands-on service, is comfortable managing multiple responsibilities, and is eager to make a positive impact on the community.
