We are seeking a motivated leader to work with our founding shareholders to establish a premium wild caught deer processing operation.

The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable working with our Board of Directors to develop the strategic plan, leading a small team to achieve consistent processing outcomes, and performing hands-on tasks when required.

This is a leading executive role that requires intellectual capability combined with the ability to build a team and partnerships with external service providers to achieve performance outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Team Leadership: Achieve high-performance outcomes through others
  • Problem Solving: Think logically and with an open mind
  • Organisational Skills: Effectively organise people and process
  • Financial Management: Review and report on profit and loss
  • Recruitment, Training and Performance Management
  • Safety and Health Systems: Implement and lead health systems
  • Food Safety Systems: Oversee meat processing risk management

This role reports directly to our Board of Directors and offers a competitive remuneration package to a highly motivated individual who wishes to be part of an exciting startup based in Dunedin.
