Job Summary

The Auckland Council's Grants and Incentives team is seeking a talented Grants Advisor to deliver critical services as a permanent full-time staff member. As a key member of the team, you will implement and evaluate a range of community grant schemes that meet our strategic objectives.

About This Role

This role requires a strong administrative skill set, proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, and a current and relevant NZ Driver's licence. You will also need to demonstrate exceptional communication, networking, and negotiation skills to build credible and long-lasting partnerships with multiple stakeholders.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop, and implement community grant schemes that meet council and community objectives.
  2. Guide community groups to access funding by improving the quality of funding applications through training, workshops, seminars, and communications.
  3. Attend local board meetings to present on specific grant proposals.
  4. Identify and develop process improvements in line with best practice and ensure these improvements are implemented within the team.
