Compliance Officer - Environmental Health

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Compliance Officer - Environmental Health to join our team in Whanganui. As a key member of our Regulatory and Compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that food premises in Whanganui meet the required standards for food safety.

About the Role:
  • Conduct regular inspections of food premises to ensure compliance with the Food Act 2014.
  • Investigate health complaints and ensure that food premises are adhering to local laws and regulations.
  • Work with stakeholders to raise public health awareness and promote good hygiene practices.
  • Support the team in maintaining accurate records and reports.

Requirements:
  • A relevant degree or diploma in environmental health science or a related field.
  • Proven experience in environmental health inspection and enforcement.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
