Rail Safety Compliance Specialist

**Job Description:**
We are seeking a Senior Rail Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in regulation and/or rail, with experience in assessment (audit) planning, delivery and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess rail licence holders to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements
- Provide compliance support and advice to regulated parties
- Carry out risk-based assessments (audits) to identify and mitigate safety risks
- Exercise statutory powers when required
Requirements:
- Regulatory experience and knowledge in transport or related industry
- Proven experience in assessment (audit) planning, delivery and reporting
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Investigative, risk assurance or lead audit experience
- Experience in the Rail industry is desirable for this role
