Job Description

This Senior Water Network Engineer/Hydraulic Modeller position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and operating Drinking Water hydraulic models.

Main Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain Drinking Water hydraulic models.
  • Contribute to the development of operations and capex proposals.
  • Provide technical advice to network operations, planning, engineering, and asset management teams.
  • Conduct thorough technical reviews (peer review) of outsourced model build projects and master planning studies.
  • Support strategic network planning and development control.
  • Utilise calibrated hydraulic models to assess network performance against levels of service.
  • Project manage external model build contracts.

About You

  • You will have a Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Drinking water hydraulic modelling.
  • Modelling project management experience is required.
  • You should have a continuous improvement mindset with strong data analytics skills.
  • Proven ability to innovate and implement new modelling techniques is necessary.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring would be beneficial.
