Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Lead Positive Behaviour Therapist to join our therapy team. This role will play a critical part in student development, working collaboratively with the therapy leader to achieve the best possible outcomes for those we support at all times.

Main Duties

  • Leading on the delivery of a comprehensive behaviour support service that meets the needs of students and adults within a Positive Behaviour Model.
  • Delivery will include assessing students, planning, implementing, and evaluating interventions.
  • Planning and development of the PBS service and providing line management to team members.
  • Working closely with classroom teams and other members of the Therapy team to provide integrated behaviour support.
  • Promoting expertise and best practice through training, modelling, and staff coaching.
  • Attending student reviews and other relevant meetings to ensure a person-centred approach in collaboration with the team around the student.
  • Participating in continuous professional development through self-directed learning.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Evidence of established specialist skillset in behaviour assessment and management.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills through use of appropriate management styles, ability to adapt communication, and effective prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Able to work as an effective and co-operative team member and collaborate successfully with colleagues and Head of Therapy.
  • Effective line management skills evidenced through the ability to coach, support, and performance manage team members.
