About the Role

As a Senior Business Analyst in the Cards Switching NZ Technology team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the bank's card switching services. You will liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate, and validate business requirements.

You will work with both our delivery team and external vendors to build excellent solutions. Additionally, you will work with the production support team to analyse and rectify production issues.

Your Day-to-Day
  • You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for card transactions, including VisaNet, MasterCard, and NZ Domestic message protocols.
  • You will analyse and translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements, working closely with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements.
  • You will pro-actively identify gaps, opportunities, or potential issues within the technology and business areas, promoting change.
  • You will develop and maintain detailed documentation, including use cases, process flows, and data models.
  • You will support all stages of testing to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • You will provide expertise and guidance on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and the New Zealand domestic card transaction processing landscape.
