About the Role

The Mental Health, Addictions and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAIDS) has vacancies in our Casual Pool for experienced Registered Nurses to work in various inpatient units and community settings within the Wellington, Kapiti, Porirua, and Hutt Valley areas.

About the Team/Service/Location

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and are committed to providing a supportive and stimulating environment. As a member of our MHAIDS Operations Centre team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and work with a multidisciplinary approach.

What You Will Do

  • You will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including inpatient units and community facilities.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care and support services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and carers to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans that meet individual patient needs.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Your Qualifications and Skills

  • Be a New Zealand Registered Nurse with current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
  • Have at least two years' experience in mental health nursing.
  • Hold a current Work Visa or have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
