The Role

This esteemed position demands exceptional leadership skills, extensive knowledge of olive production, and a deep understanding of organic farming practices.

Main Tasks

  • Direct and oversee olive cultivation activities, encompassing all aspects from planting to harvesting.
  • Lead and manage a sizeable team, guaranteeing seamless operations and optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement cutting-edge organic farming methods, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Ensure the efficient operation of the on-site olive mill, prioritizing premium oil extraction.
  • Promote and maintain the highest quality standards throughout the production process, maximizing yields.

Required Expertise

  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in olive farming or a related field.
  • A degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related discipline would be highly desirable.
  • Advanced skills in pest control, pruning, fertilization, and mechanical harvesting are necessary.
  • Familiarity with olive oil production and quality control processes would be an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of organic farming principles and regulatory requirements is essential.
  • Experience with irrigation systems, farm equipment, and maintenance is vital.
