About the Role

The urology service at Dunedin Public Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a permanent part-time consultant urologist to join our experienced team. The service provides inpatient, outpatient, and community services to patients in the Otago catchment area. The role involves providing high-quality patient-centred care, shared responsibility for day-to-day management of the service, teaching and training within the multidisciplinary team, and active involvement in clinical governance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert care to patients with urological conditions.
  • Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the development of the urology service.
  • Train and educate medical students and junior doctors.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and directorate clinical governance activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in urology through ongoing education and professional development.
