About The Role

The urology service based at Dunedin Public Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a permanent part-time Consultant Urologist who will join our experienced team of urologists. The role will provide a 1:4 on-call with our existing urologists and work directly alongside a senior urology trainee, two non-training junior doctors, and a senior, experienced, and dedicated specialist urology nursing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing high-quality patient-centred care
  • Shared responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service and participation in strategic planning
  • Teaching and training within the multidisciplinary service
  • Active involvement in multidisciplinary team meetings and directorate clinical governance activity
  • Active participation in continuing medical education
