About the Role
  • You will be responsible for operating CAT 140M (or similar) and various items of plant when required.
  • Your primary objective will be to grade 7,000 - 10,000m2 finished per day to the millimeter precise.
  • In addition to grading, you will also perform general labouring work to support the team when required.
  • Using machinery in accordance with manufacturers' instructions, with due care and attention in a safe manner.
  • You will be responsible for weekly mechanical prestart inspections of plant and machinery (greasing, cleaning, and maintenance).
  • Carry out a variety of civil engineering tasks.
  • Assess hazards and recommend and initiate solutions.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Grader Operator in Civil infrastructure (roads, ports, and airports).
  • Willingness to muck in and put a hard day's work in.
  • A desire to keep yourself and others safe in the workplace.
  • SiteSafe or Construct Safe certificate (or ability to obtain it).
  • You must be passionate about what you do and genuinely take pride in a job well done.
  • This is a physical role, so you need to be fit and well to carry out your duties.
