Job DescriptionAs a teacher of humanities, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the needs of our students. You will work closely with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans, assess student progress, and provide feedback.
You will also contribute to the development of new programs and initiatives, such as our Tohu award, which is tailored to meet the needs of our senior students. Experience teaching Middle Years Programme would be advantageous, but training will be provided to the successful candidate.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must hold suitable teaching qualifications, registration, and a current practicing certificate from the Teaching Council NZ. You must also have the right to work in New Zealand.
In addition, you should possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills. You should demonstrate a passion for education so that students thrive, and be willing to contribute to and support new ideas and focused change.
