About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Christchurch Hospital. This is a part-time (24 hours/week) permanent role on the Acute Campus site, offering a unique blend of challenge and fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Work collaboratively with patients from diverse backgrounds to provide comprehensive assessments, patient-centered goal setting, therapeutic interventions, and education to whānau and friends and IDT colleagues
* Delegate clinical tasks to Allied Health Assistants and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
* Participate in transfer and discharge planning, as well as mentoring and supervision of colleagues within the wider Occupational Therapy service
* Contribute to the weekend roster on a regular basis

About You
You will be passionate about working in acute care within a team environment, with a desire to grow and develop professionally as a Physical Therapist Coordinator. Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Sound clinical assessment and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, developing positive interpersonal relationships and working flexibly within the inter-disciplinary team
* Strong clinical reasoning skills and use of evidence-informed practice
* Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with experience in discharge planning
* Willingness to engage in quality improvement mahi
* Clinical experience working within the acute hospital environment would be an advantage
* Registration with the NZ Occupational Therapy Board and current Annual Practicing Certificate (or eligibility to obtain)
