Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Wayfinder to join our clinical mental health and wellbeing workforce, providing early intervention health and wellbeing guidance, support, and service to primary and intermediate schools in the Waiariki region.

About the Role

As a Wayfinder, you will work closely with schools, delivering evidence-informed individual, group, and whole-class wellbeing programs/interventions for children, as well as broader wellbeing cluster support. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and their families, while being part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to improving mental health and wellbeing outcomes in our community.

About the Team/Service/Location

The Waiariki region offers a unique blend of natural beauty, outdoor recreation opportunities, and cultural diversity. As a Wayfinder, you will have the chance to work with a range of stakeholders, including education providers, local authorities, and community groups, to ensure a seamless delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver early intervention health and wellbeing guidance, support, and service to primary and intermediate schools;
  • Work closely with schools to develop and implement wellbeing programs/interventions;
  • Provide broader wellbeing cluster support to kura and schools;
  • Collaborate with education providers, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless delivery of services.

Requirements

  • Experience working with community, children, and whānau;
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively in a team;
  • Full driver's license;
  • Computer competence;
  • Adaptability and ability to pivot within a rapidly changing environment.
