Māori Language and Culture Expert

Job Description
We are seeking a Policy Manager to join our team at the Ministry of Māori Development. As a Policy Manager, you will be responsible for leading and contributing to policy development and advice on te reo Māori and Māori media under Te Whare o te Reo Mauriora.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing policies that support Māori wellbeing and advancement
- Providing advice directly to the Government on strategic policy issues
- Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and address barriers to Māori wellbeing
We are looking for someone with:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Knowledge of the Māori language and culture
