We're seeking a highly skilled Principal Research Programmer to join our research team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge graphics algorithms and technologies. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, experiment with new techniques, and push the limits of what's possible in game development.

What You'll Do

  • Drive core algorithmic research and development, collaborating with programmers, designers, and artists to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Experiment with new and existing research techniques, leveraging rapid prototyping and ensuring strong architectural and algorithmic decisions.
  • Contribute deep expertise and actionable knowledge to inform decision-making across the organization.
  • Guide and mentor junior programmers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Write robust, maintainable code that meets the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Extensive experience developing games professionally, with a focus on AAA titles and multiple platforms.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with creative problem-solving skills and a passion for thinking innovatively.
  • Expert-level C++ skills, with a solid understanding of gameplay mechanics and tools.
  • Experience using Unreal Engine 5, with a deep understanding of its capabilities and limitations.
  • A strong interest in machine learning and research methods, with the ability to articulate strengths and weaknesses of existing algorithms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
