Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand Auckland District Health Board Full time
About the Role

The Auckland District Health Board is seeking a skilled and dedicated Patient at Risk (PaR) team member to fill the position of a Nurse Specialist.

This role involves working part-time in the PaR team and part-time in another acute setting. The successful candidate will have experience in acute care or critical care and be eager to develop their career pathway as a Nurse Specialist.

The PaR model aims to proactively respond to deteriorating patients in a focused manner, providing a clear escalation pathway and response. As a key person supporting the ward teams, the Nurse Specialist will play a crucial role in managing this process.

About the Team

The PaR team ensures children at risk of deterioration receive the right care at the right time and are cared for in the right place depending on their changing acuity. They foster effective working partnerships with primary medical and nursing ward teams in the timely management of deteriorating patients.
