As a Healthcare Assistant with WOFO, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in Auckland City. Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will work across various clinics, wards, emergency departments, and operating rooms, ensuring a seamless patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide patient handling assistance as required, utilizing correct lifting equipment and assisting with walking frames and other equipment.
Maintain patient hygiene, comfort, and care, including assistance with patient sponging/showering/bathing, bed making, and preparing the room for admission.
Complete delegated tasks promptly without constant supervision, ensuring Health and Safety compliance by using equipment safely, reporting incidents, accidents, and near misses promptly, and following required policies and procedures, including infection control.
Restock materials and complete cleaning duties as required.
Requirements:
Level 4 NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent)
Exceptional people skills with empathy and compassion for all patients
Reasonable level of fitness due to the nature of the role, able to perform required duties (including lifting)
Excellent level of spoken and written English and numeracy
Reliable and honest with a positive attitude
Willing to undertake police clearance (submitted on your behalf) and undergo a health screening.
