At WOFO, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Level 4 NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent) and exceptional people skills with empathy and compassion for all patients.

The Healthcare Assistant will work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients. This includes providing patient handling assistance, maintaining patient hygiene, and completing delegated tasks promptly.

The successful candidate will have a reasonable level of fitness due to the nature of the role, be able to perform required duties (including lifting), and have an excellent level of spoken and written English and numeracy.

We are committed to providing a safe and supportive work environment, and the successful candidate will be expected to ensure Health and Safety compliance, report incidents and accidents promptly, and follow required policies and procedures.

The Healthcare Assistant will also be responsible for restocking materials and completing cleaning duties as required.
