About the Role

Santa Maria College, a Catholic Girls' Secondary School affiliated with the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd., seeks an experienced Italian teacher to fill a part-time position.

The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching 2 X Unit 1 Italian, 1 X Y7 Italian, 1 X Y9 Italian, and 1 X Y10 Italian classes. This role involves working 8 days in a cycle with Mondays off.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for Italian students
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Contribute to the College's professional development activities and extra-curricular programs

Requirements

  • Possess VIT Certification and experience teaching adolescents and emerging young adults
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities
  • Be committed to supporting the College's relational management and restorative practices
  • Able to maintain a positive environment that fosters student learning and motivation
