Job Description
As a Senior Analyst in our Data Analytics and Surveys Group, you will turn complex health data into actionable insights that inform key decisions across the health system. You will use statistical models, data science methods, and business intelligence tools to analyze large health datasets and extract meaningful insights.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need significant experience in an Analyst position, extracting and analyzing data and information in R and SQL coding, and visualizing information in different formats. You will also have strong relationships across the Ministry, health sector, government, and external stakeholders – Collaborate with policymakers, data teams, and healthcare providers to ensure alignment in analytical approaches and data-driven decision-making.

Our work includes both ad hoc data analytics and regular reporting, utilizing a wide range of datasets, including health administrative data, health surveys, and drawing on the Stats NZ's Integrated Data Infrastructure (IDI).
