We are seeking a highly skilled Special Education Consultant to join our team at Rotorua Library. As a Special Education Consultant, you will provide expert advice and guidance on special education matters and work closely with families, whānau, caregivers, schools and early childhood educators to help maximise learning outcomes and promote social inclusion.

About the Role

This permanent, part-time role is based at our Tauranga Office, offering a fantastic lifestyle and work-life balance opportunity. You will play a critical role in facilitating access to wider services and support, in response to individual needs.

About You
  • You will have extensive knowledge, experience and skills in supporting children and young people with severe and challenging behaviours and learning needs in a classroom or other relevant settings.
  • You will have experience working in Māori-medium settings or the ability to work across Māori informed practice models.
  • You will have a full current driver licence as travel across the region is a requirement of this role.
