We have an upcoming vacancy for a part time Consultant General Paediatrician to carry out general paediatric duties. We have a stable experienced team and would be happy to consider applications from newly qualified specialists seeking a supportive environment to commence their consultant career.

The successful candidate will provide services in Rotorua and Taupo, participate in a 1:8 acute call roster and enjoy excellent support from specialty teams.

There are well established links with tertiary centres for support.

The current paediatrician team consists of ten specialists, three registrars and dedicated paediatric SHO support.

The department is accredited by RACP for registrar training.

We also provide attachments/teaching for 5th and 6th year medical students from the University of Auckland Medical School.

Awhe utu / Salary range

$ 185,380 to $ 267,980 pro-rated to hours worked plus Senior Medical Officer allowances.
