Our client, a well-established leader in the development and construction industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Contracts Administrator to join their professional team in Sydney, Australia.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for financial management of projects and ensuring project delivery meets or exceeds cost budgets. They will also provide financial guidance to the project team and manage all aspects of the subcontract process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and review subcontract tenders
  • Prepare, check and review subcontract packages and scopes
  • Monitor subcontractors to ensure environmental commitments are met
  • Preparation of accurate payment schedules and progress claims
  • Understanding and managing subcontractor contractual risk
  • Support the Projects team when required

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management or similar
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years' experience in a similar role
  • Previous Financial or Accounting experience is ideal
  • Superior analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of project administration and project controls
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated negotiation, stakeholder management and influencing skills
