**About the Role**
We are seeking a skilled Ophthalmology Registrar to join our team at Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital. As an Ophthalmology Registrar, you will work closely with our experienced Consultant Ophthalmologists and be part of a supportive working environment that prioritizes excellent teaching.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a wide variety of inpatient cases, including attending Outpatients and working in the Surgical Ward, Operating Theatre, Acute Admissions Unit, and the Emergency Department. This role is ideal for those looking to develop their clinical skills and knowledge in ophthalmology.
About You
- Suitable for Resident Medical Officers PGY3 or above
- Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings
