The Duty Nurse Manager role at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Taranaki requires a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to lead our Integrated Operations Centre team. This dynamic position involves coordinating nursing resource utilization, patient bed management, and first-line emergency response across two hospitals.
About the Team
Our team works together to ensure seamless decision-making and leadership. We have a range of people and services, as well as close working relationships with all hospital departments.
About You
We are looking for a Registered Nurse with significant experience (more than 5 years) in acute medical and surgical nursing. Previous leadership experience, preferably in a ward or inpatient unit setting, is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Integrated Operations Centre team to ensure effective coordination of nursing resources and patient care
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient flow and resourcing of areas
- Respond to and lead multiple demands, including emergencies and crises
- Collaborate with multiple teams to achieve shared goals and objectives
