About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified General Surgeon to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis. As a Regional Surgeon, you will be part of a tight-knit team of experienced professionals working in a state-of-the-art facility with access to cutting-edge equipment and technology.

Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary package, including an attractive remuneration offer of $250,000 per year, plus 6% KiwiSaver. In addition, we offer ongoing training and development opportunities, including financial support up to $16,000 per year for continuing medical training.

Job Description:

As a Regional Surgeon, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing surgeries and procedures with high levels of skill and precision
  • Collaborating with other medical professionals to develop treatment plans and manage patient care
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to junior doctors and medical students

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Completed your residency or registrar training in General Surgery
  • Eligible to hold vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in General Surgery
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to effectively interact with patients and staff from diverse backgrounds
