We're currently seeking an experienced HR professional with a passion for health and safety to join our dynamic team as a People & Health and Safety Advisor.

Job Overview

This is a fixed-term position (6 months) for 20-30 hours per week, but it's likely to become permanent. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing guidance on HR-related matters, ensuring smooth employee onboarding, conducting exit interviews, managing recruitment processes, and maintaining HR records.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on HR best practices and health and safety legislation
  • Conduct inductions for new employees, contractors, and sub-contractors
  • Maintain accurate HR records and databases (BambooHR)
  • Schedule meetings and interviews
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation
  • Support performance review processes
  • Drive company culture and uphold the Jones Family Values
  • Implement and coordinate all aspects of H&S across the business

Requirements

  • Previous experience in HR, Health & Safety, or a related role
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and H&S legislation
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Able to multitask and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in HR systems (e.g., BambooHR) and MS Office
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Possession of a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture
