Our goal at Progress to Health is to create opportunities for living a full life, free from barriers and challenges.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Kaihautū (Cultural Co-ordinator), responsible for developing and implementing our Cultural Capability Plan.

This role requires someone who is fluent in Te Reo Māori, has a deep understanding of Tikanga and Kawa, and strong community connections and mana within the Māori community.

The successful candidate will work closely with the chief executive to ensure our services meet the highest standards and align with our vision.

  • Key responsibilities include developing and monitoring the Cultural Capability Plan, building team responsiveness to Māori through workshops and supervision, fostering and maintaining relationships with mana whenua in our communities, providing cultural advisory support to the Board and leadership team, and ensuring policies reflect Te Tiriti o Waitangi and our values.
