Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Behavioural Therapist to join our Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Service. This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Health Professional with experience in working with individuals with complex trauma and borderline personality disorder.

The DBT Service provides assessment, individual therapy, and consultation services to clients. As a key member of the team, you will work collaboratively with other disciplines to provide comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide DBT adherent clinical contact with clients and their whanau.
  • Co-facilitate DBT Skills Groups for clients of the DBT service.
  • Liaise and advise with other multi-disciplinary teams and primary health providers.
  • Provide consultation, training, and education programs to staff and community groups.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A current annual practicing certificate as a Registered Health Professional.
  • Experience working with individuals with complex trauma and borderline personality disorder.
  • A strong understanding of DBT principles and practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
