**About the Role**

We are seeking two early-career policy professionals to join our team as Policy Advisors. This is a 5-6 month fixed-term or secondment opportunity.

As a Policy Advisor, you will work alongside experienced policy practitioners to develop timely and accurate analysis and policy advice. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Developing discrete pieces of policy advice in a timely manner.
  • Identifying and analysing issues to contribute to the development of policy advice.
  • Gathering research and summarising information.
  • Ensuring policy advice is clearly communicated both verbally and in written form.

A focus of one of the roles is likely to be preparing for New Zealand's upcoming examination before the Committee on the Elimination of all forms of Racial Discrimination. The other role will be focused on supporting a range of electoral and open government policy work, including policy research on legislative reform proposals and submissions analysis.
