About the Role

As a Consultant Radiation Oncologist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality radiation therapy services to patients. You will work closely with our dynamic team of eight medical oncologists, nine haematologists, ten radiation oncologists, and five palliative care physicians.

Our department operates on the Eclipse planning system and boasts four linear accelerators capable of delivering state-of-the-art radiation treatments, including rotational IMRT and cone beam CT image guidance. We utilize cutting-edge technology such as TrueBeam, HyperArc, and Halcyon for radiation procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver radiation therapy services to patients using advanced technology
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements
  • Qualifications that satisfy the requirements for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
  • Driver license
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
