We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Assistant to join our regional specialist service providing assessment and treatment for children, adolescents, and adults with eating disorders.
The purpose of this position is to provide support for therapeutic groups delivered by our team. These groups are attended by clients and/or whānau, and the role will assist by working alongside the multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals to ensure that effective and high-quality clinical service is delivered in an organised and cohesive way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist team members to deliver well-organised and well-supported therapeutic groups.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality clinical service delivery.
Requirements:
- Previous experience within mental health and/or eating disorders services.
- A commitment to biculturalism and achieving equitable outcomes for Māori.
- A qualification in Mental Health Support work is essential for this role.
- A full Driver Licence is required.
