**About the Role:**
A challenging opportunity exists for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Private Secretary to join the team of Hon Simeon Brown, Minister for Health, Minister for State Owned Enterprises, and Minister for Auckland.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide high-level administrative support to Minister Brown, ensuring seamless coordination and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Minister's team to develop and implement policy initiatives that align with government goals.
  • Manage complex legislative and operational policy frameworks, leveraging expertise in the machinery of Government.

**Requirements:**

  • Extensive knowledge of the New Zealand public sector, including experience working with complex policy frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A well-developed risk radar, anticipating and mitigating potential risks to ensure a 'no surprises' approach.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work at pace and adapt to changing priorities.
