About the Job: We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Queenstown Lakes Southland Southern Specialist Diabetes and Endocrinology Service Team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in diabetes care and education.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities: As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing and managing clients within their clinical context using nursing knowledge and skills. You will engage in clinical education, mentorship and professional activities to assist development of extensions to practice. You will forge relationships and participate with district wide Diabetes Service and support Lakes.

Qualifications and Experience: To be considered for this role, you must have completed three years full-time/0.8 FTE practice within the last five years. You must meet level 4 of the local professional development recognition programme (level three working towards level four will be considered). You must have relevant postgraduate papers, minimum post graduate diploma and preferably masters in nursing. You must be accredited via or meet accreditation criteria of the Aotearoa College of Diabetes (NZNO) national accreditation process and have achieved a minimum of 'Of Proficient Diabetes Nurse' on the National Diabetes Knowledge and Skills Framework 2018.
