About the Role:

As a Librarian and Learning Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering library services to prisoners at Auckland Region Women's Corrections Facility. This role requires a strengths-based approach that prioritizes manaakitanga and whanaungatanga.

The successful candidate will operate a professional library service, providing access to books, periodicals, and learning resources. They will also develop, coordinate, and maintain these resources, as well as propose and manage an annual budget.

In addition, the Librarian and Learning Coordinator will provide library information, reports, and advice to the Learning and Interventions Delivery Manager. They will train and monitor prisoner Library assistants and ensure security is maintained at all times.

This is a full-time permanent role based at Auckland Region Women's Corrections Facility, working Monday to Friday with some flexibility on hours worked. The successful candidate will need to work effectively in a custodial environment, leading by example and maintaining professional boundaries.
