Job Title: Secondary School Leader and Educational Strategist

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join our team as a Deputy Principal at Feilding High School. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and dedicated educator to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students.

Job Summary:

The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school, maintaining a positive school tone, and contributing to the development of educational strategies that enhance student outcomes. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Day-to-day running of the school, ensuring smooth operations and effective management of resources.
  • Maintaining a positive school tone, fostering a culture of excellence, and promoting high standards of behavior and academic achievement.
  • Contributing to the development of educational strategies, curriculum design, and assessment practices that support student learning and growth.
  • Leading by example, modeling professional behavior, and demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and improvement.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Education or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in secondary education, preferably in a leadership position.
  • Proven leadership skills, including strategic planning, budget management, and personnel supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, parents, and the wider community.
  • A passion for education, a commitment to student-centered learning, and a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of young people.
