Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis (30 hours per week), with the potential to increase to full-time hours. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for supporting our financial operations and maintaining accurate records.

About the Role

- Assist in debt recovery and manage repeating invoicing schedules
- Ensure accurate revenue tracking and timely payments
- Support fortnightly payroll processing and maintain financial records
- Provide administrative support as needed and ensure best practices in AR/AP processes

Key Responsibilities

- Accounts Receivable: Assist in debt recovery, send invoices, manage repeating invoicing schedules, and ensure accurate revenue tracking.
- Accounts Payable: Upload bills into Xero, prepare payment batches, check statements, and ensure timely payments.
- Payroll Support: Assist with fortnightly payroll processing, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- General Administration: Maintain financial records, generate reports, and provide administrative support as needed.
- Process Improvement: Ensure best practices in AR/AP processes and maintain accurate supplier and customer records.

Requirements

- At least 2-3 years of experience in an accounts or finance role
- Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software
- Payroll knowledge and understanding of the Holidays Act
- Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
