Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team at Hunter Campbell. The successful candidate will manage a diverse product portfolio of around 20,000 SKUs, ensuring the right products are available at the right time.

About the Role:

As a Purchasing Manager, you will work closely with two other procurement professionals and report directly to the General Manager of Supply Chain & Procurement. Your key responsibilities will include reviewing forecasts, identifying trends, and making amendments to purchasing plans to keep stock levels optimised.

You will need to be comfortable managing large data sets on Excel and working with ERP/MRP systems to manage inventory efficiently and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders and internal teams.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience in purchasing
  • Exposure to reviewing forecasts and making adjustments to optimise purchasing activity
  • ERP/MRP experience—you're comfortable working with systems to manage stock and supplier orders.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a high SKU count effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, as you'll be working closely with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and if you have Power BI dashboard-building skills, that is a great advantage.
