Senior Policy Position:

We are seeking a highly experienced policy advisor to join our team. As a Senior Policy Advisor, you will be responsible for leading complex policy projects from concept to implementation.

About the Role:

  • Develop and lead policy projects that align with DOC's strategic direction.
  • Provide high-quality briefings for Ministers and Cabinet, and consultation material for key stakeholders and the wider public.
  • Influence and support legislative change that meets the needs of our Minister, Treaty partners, and senior leaders.
  • Play a leadership role within the team, coaching and leading policy advisors across the wider team.

About You:

  • You have strong policy analysis skills, including experience with legislative processes.
  • You have well-developed stakeholder management skills, including involvement in public consultation processes.
  • You have cultural awareness – understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and/or understanding tikanga Māori.
