About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Policy Analyst to join our team at the Department of Internal Affairs. As a Senior Policy Analyst, you will work closely with government agencies and stakeholders to develop evidence-based advice for ministers and senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct policy analysis and research to inform decision-making
  • Develop and implement policies that promote community wellbeing and reduce harm
  • Work with communities, industry, and international stakeholders to engage and build relationships
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations to ministers and senior leaders

Requirements

  • A relevant degree that demonstrates critical thinking training, policy analysis experience, or transferrable skills
  • An excellent communication style and ability to work effectively in a team
  • An interest in legislative processes and a curious mindset that is motivated by solving problems
