Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to help deliver our projects throughout New Zealand. The Site Construction Manager will oversee the construction of utility-scale photovoltaic projects in New Zealand, planning, coordinating, and supervising various construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Leading daily construction operations, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between clients, contractors, and stakeholders, including landowners and the local community.
  • Overseeing QA/QC processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards, while managing health, safety, and environmental regulations through audits and compliance checks.
  • Proactively identifying and mitigating project risks, while maintaining project timelines and budgets.
  • Fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular progress reports, KPIs, and financial updates to ensure smooth project delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising high-value projects preferably within a contracting organisation.
  • Multi-discipline construction experience and ability to oversee construction from ground up to final completion.
  • Sound knowledge of Health and Safety Principles and regulations.
  • Proven leadership skills, with a track record of managing construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
