About the Position
Health New Zealand | Southern invites applications from new graduate midwives to join our maternity team. This 12-month program is designed to support your professional growth and enhance your learning in the Midwifery First Year of Practice (MFYP) program.
You will gain experience across a range of options including secondary & tertiary hospital environments, primary maternity units, and caseload teams. As part of an integrated system, you will work alongside other healthcare professionals to provide a safe childbearing journey for women and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in a variety of settings, including hospitals and community-based locations
- Develop skills in antenatal, labour, and postnatal care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
- Build strong relationships with patients and their families
Requirements
- Recent Bachelor of Midwifery graduate
- Possess passion and motivation for growth and knowledge
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
