We are seeking a skilled Procurement Leader to spearhead innovative procurement strategies within the health industry. As a true people leader, you will foster collaborative and strategic thinking to drive organisational success.

The role involves:

  • Leading and developing a team of procurement professionals
  • Monitoring and coaching team performance to achieve desired outcomes
  • Overseeing consistent procurement processes and activities
  • Fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintaining connections with the wider procurement team
  • Providing direction for alignment with business objectives
  • Cultivating best practices and continuous improvement initiatives

You will have:

  • Strong leadership skills and experience in leading procurement teams
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in procurement
  • Experience within the health sector is advantageous
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain high-level stakeholder relationships
  • Success in driving organisational change and executing strategies
  • Applied knowledge in New Zealand Government Procurement Rules
  • Knowledge and experience with the use of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
