Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Environmental and Sustainability Lead to support the construction of one of the largest Solar Farms in New Zealand. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing sustainability and environmental initiatives on a utility-scale photovoltaic project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams to develop project management plans, ensuring inclusion of site-specific Environmental Management Plans (EMP), ecological constraints, and Arboricultural considerations.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce energy consumption, waste, and carbon footprint, promoting resource conservation across the project.
  • Evaluate and report on environmental and sustainability performance, developing metrics to measure progress and providing training and resources to staff on sustainability best practices.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have experience in environmental management, sustainability, or related fields, with a proven track record leading sustainability initiatives on construction projects. Tertiary qualifications in sustainability, environmental science, natural resource management, or related field are also highly valued.
